Reason why to study Photoshop

Here is one of my top reason why one should learn Photoshop skills.  I really should upgrade by computer skills, I admit that I so s*ck at photoshop that I can only resize photos with it.

Maybe I can find during the Christmas break and do something like this.

Not in season

With the start of the Christmas season, may we be able to look at our blessings with thanks in our hearts.  My good friend, Bashi, shared this pic over at Pinoy-N

It is with great trepidation that I share this pic with you.  Someday we will grow old and someday we will need the help of strangers.  Let us be one in this season of hope and just remember if some adults ride a jeep singing Christmas songs passengers and saying 'pasalamat kayo nag cacarol kami kesa mang holdup' clutch your bags and pray.

Invalid excuse letters

Here are some of the most inane excuse letter that I have found over the net, so kindly read and laugh:

"My son is under a doctor's care and should not take P.E. today. Please execute him."

"Please excuse Lisa for being absent. She was sick, and I had her shot."

"Dear School: Please ekscuse John being absent on Jan. 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, and also 33."

"Please excuse Gloria from Jim today. She is administrating."

"Please excuse Roland from P.E. for a few days. Yesterday he fell out of a tree and misplaced his hip."

"John has been absent because he had two teeth taken out of his face."

"Carlos was absent yesterday because he was playing football. He was hurt in the growing part."

"Megan could not come to school today because she has been bothered by very close veins."

"Chris will not be in school cus he has an acre in his side."

"Please excuse Ray Friday from school. He has very loose vowels."

"Please excuse Tommy for being absent yesterday. He had diarrhea, and his boots leak."

"Irving was absent yesterday because he missed his bust."

"Please excuse Jimmy for being. It was his father's fault."

"Please excuse Jennifer for missing school yesterday. We forgot to get the Sunday paper off the porch, and when we found it Monday, we thought it was Sunday."

"Sally won't be in school a week from Friday. We have to attend her funeral."

"My daughter was absent yesterday because she was tired. She spent a weekend with the Marines."

"Please excuse Jason for being absent yesterday. He had a cold and could not breed well."

"Please excuse Mary for being absent yesterday. She was in bed with gramps."

"Gloria was absent yesterday as she was having a gangover."

"Please excuse Burma, she has been sick and under the doctor."

"Maryann was absent December 11-16, because she had a fever, sore throat, headache, and upset stomach. Her sister was also sick, fever, and sore throat, her brother had a low grade fever and ached all over. I wasn't the best either, sore throat and fever. There must be something going around, her father even got hot last night."

2weeks

In the last 2weeks the Philippines became the center for news.

The Good news: Pacquiao wins and Efren Penafranca's Hero of the year award.
The Bad news: 57 journalist killed in Mindanao. Sure sign that the election season is upon us all.

All in two weeks alot of things happened.
I have given 2 subjects, only to be reassigned to another subject. In one of the classes that I handled on the first meeting, most of the student clapped their hands upon seeing that I will be their teacher. (mga sipsip? bwahahah)

It was hard adjusting to a teaching load of 8 straight torturous hours. I wanted to give my class the best of my teaching skills with some stand-up comedy routine mixed in the middle. Nothing is as stress killer like seeing my student laugh.

Hopefully my body would have adjusted to the new bio-clock. Still, working at 7 is such a drag even if I wake at 4am since time immemorial.

Long holiday ahead of us, folks! So sleep all you can.

Back to the Future

A good friend of mine from high school (I hope he still considers me as such) posted the HS Year book 1995. So in the spirit kalag-kalag I am posting my picture when I was in high school. I was so scrawny and small, I could be mistaken for a girl back then except for the absence of boobies.

Forward in college whilst working in Jollibee Mactan, a customer looked at my name plate and said "aljay? Are you a girl?". If that chick weren't so hot I would have (bleeeeeeeeeep) but that was in the past. Our mistakes made me who I am now and I am thankful for that.

UV Prepares for IQuAME

HERE ARE THE ANSWERS FOR THE ASSIGNMENT FOR THE 3rd week of November 2009. Remember to put it down in a half crosswise yellow paper.
******
IQuAME stands for Institutional Monitoring and Evaluation for Quality Assurance that is administered by CHED.

Schools who wish to attain autonomous status apply for it and set a schedule for a CHED visit whereby the school undergoes strict evaluation on four key areas:
1) Governance and management
2) Quality of teaching and research
3) Support for students
4) Relations with the community
5) Management of resources.

If the so-called “evidences” that the school compiles and shows matches with the criteria laid out by the Commission, then the subject school will most likely pass the acid test.

UV is applying for Category A (teaching) under IQuAME rules.

Donate blood and get a free gift

I always donate my blood every 2months except if I am not healthy enough to do it. On November 3, I donated my blood. I was surprised that red cross gave me a free red baller band. The token was enough to make me feel very special and as such I always wear it. So go ahead donate your plasma and get this limited edition red cross baller bracelet. Wear it proud knowing that you are a volunteer for the International Red Cross of the Philippines.

BTW donating blood is not as 'traumatic' as say getting an operation. The needles are not that big and the puncture is as painful as an ant bite, the minute pain is similar to my yearly flu vaccine; you also get a free orange juice when donating. I should know, I have donated almost more than a gallon of my blood he he he

Benefits:
Free Blood Screening (HIV/AIDS)
almost free blood replacement in emergencies (if you have donated a gallon or more)
FREE RED CROSS BALLER BRACELET for a limited time only

I... AM... SORRY

For those student who were not able to get the exam last semester, Feel free to contact me via email to schedule your make up exams. If you have not taken the exam chances are the grade might be INC or depending on your performance for the previous terms (pre to semi) there might not be any need to take the exams.

email me aljoriz at gmail dot com (change the dot to perio and at=@). I am doing this so that bots might not get my email. After all I hate autoBOTS he he he

FYI, I have not failed a student save for 2 who never attended classes or showed no interest at all in the subject.

I am very sorry as I was not able to serve students for the clearance signing due to some rapid works done on the general psychology book. I pray that this book will not be sequestered unlike my previous attempts to write a book (Philippine Constitution).
